About

Amir Keshavarzian
I'm an architect and generative artist, and the founder of Arkain Studio, an independent practice working across architecture, computational design, generative art and research. I bring over a decade of experience in design, including twelve years as architect and lead designer at Kamvari Architects, and I now work from Yerevan, Armenia.
I trained as an architect and found in code the material I couldn't stop building with. Each artwork starts without a sketch or a fixed plan: an idea set loose in a script until the algorithm finds a shape I couldn't have drawn by hand. For the past six years this has grown into a full art practice. I collaborate with Chaotic Art, the digital art platform where I release my generative collections.
Today I bring these two sides together: architectural thinking and generative systems, combined with AI tools (Gemini, Krea, Figma AI, Claude and Claude Code) to move faster from concept to visuals and interactive work, while keeping the rigour of an architect.
Highlight

Submerged Realities
Coded entirely in p5.js, with algorithms in place of brushes and no pigments to pollute oceans or soil. Below the surface, fogged forms evoke marine life distorted by pollution and microplastics; above, a clean coastline shows the world as it should be. Made in support of UN SDG 14, Life Below Water, and selected by BitBasel × Polkadot for NASA's CLPS program, aboard the Griffin-1 lunar lander.
Highlight

PSEUDONYM
Generative portraits of Kusama and Polkadot accounts: any wallet's public activity becomes a portrait, and its owner can claim it or veil it. A social experiment in on-chain identity, growing out of my EEG work Inside Our Brains.
Where I'm heading
My interests span sustainability, advanced fabrication, robotics and artificial intelligence, and how they can shape the built environment. Next, I'm focused on:
- Architecture × AI: design workflows where parametric tools and AI connect concept, visualisation and fabrication.
- Interactive and generative installations: blending code, audio-visual performance and physical space.
- Web3 and digital art: releasing new collections with Chaotic Art, and building on-chain identity work such as PSEUDONYM, generative portraits of Kusama and Polkadot accounts.
- Digital products and tools for designers, built from my own computational workflow.
- Competitions and research at the intersection of architecture, computation and sustainability.
